A Village Fair (200 words)
A village fair
is an occasion of the village people to enjoy a public gathering. It is one of
the most important events for the villagers. The fair is held on a specific
occasion including Pahela Baishakh, Chaittro Sangkranti, Eid, Durga Puja, etc.
The village fair is organised by a village committee. The committee organises
the fair at an open field. Hundreds of stalls and make-shift shops of various items are installed at the
fair. Children wait for a long time for the fair. They count down the days and
make a list of buying goods from the fair. Different forms of entertainments
including circus show, cock fight, magic show, jatra, puppet show amuse the
villagers. Men, women and children of all ages gather and buy many fancy things
for their household purposes. They also arrange for a family get-together and
invite their relatives centering the event. The fair brings much pleasure to
the villagers and gives them relaxed. But some evil practices including
gambling in the fair must be discouraged.

গ্রামের মেলা
গ্রামীণ মেলা হল গ্রামের মানুষের জনসমাগম উপভোগ
করার উপলক্ষ। গ্রামবাসীদের কাছে এটি অন্যতম গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ঘটনা। পহেলা বৈশাখ,
চৈত্রসংক্রান্তি, ঈদ, দুর্গাপূজা প্রভৃতি নির্দিষ্ট উপলক্ষ্যে মেলা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। গ্রামের মেলার আয়োজন
করে একটি গ্রাম কমিটি। কমিটি খোলা মাঠে মেলার আয়োজন করে। মেলায় শতাধিক স্টল ও মেক-শিফ্ট
শপ বসানো হয়েছে বিভিন্ন সামগ্রীর। মেলার জন্য শিশুরা দীর্ঘ সময় অপেক্ষা করে। তারা
দিন গুনে মেলা থেকে পণ্য কেনার তালিকা তৈরি করে। সার্কাস শো, মোরগের লড়াই, ম্যাজিক শো, যাত্রা, পুতুল শো সহ বিভিন্ন ধরনের বিনোদন গ্রামবাসীদের
আনন্দ দেয়। সব বয়সের পুরুষ, মহিলা এবং শিশুরা
জড়ো হয় এবং তাদের গৃহস্থালির উদ্দেশ্যে অনেক অভিনব জিনিস কিনে থাকে। তারা একটি পারিবারিক
মিলন মেলার ব্যবস্থাও করে এবং ইভেন্টকে কেন্দ্র করে তাদের আত্মীয়দের আমন্ত্রণ জানায়।
মেলা গ্রামবাসীদের জন্য অনেক আনন্দ নিয়ে আসে এবং তাদের স্বস্তি দেয়। তবে মেলায় জুয়া
খেলাসহ কিছু কুপ্রথা নিরুৎসাহিত করতে হবে।
