A winter morning is misty and cold. There is dense fog all around. Sometimes the fog is so dense that the sun rays cannot get through it. Everything looks hazy and nature appears wrapped in a blanket of mist. Things at a little distance can hardly be seen. Dew drops fall on the grass and leaves at night. When the morning sun peeks through the mist, these dew drops look like sparkling pearls. People, especially the poor, suffer from the biting cold. They gather dry leaves and straw to make fires to warm themselves. Children and old people bask in the sun. In rural areas, people enjoy delicious winter delicacies like date juice, chira, muri, and various traditional pitha. As the day advances and the sun rises higher, the fog gradually melts away and people start their daily routine with energy and enthusiasm. Introduction: Parents are the greatest blessing of Almighty Allah in our earthly life. From the very moment of our birth, they nurture us with boundless love, care, and sacrifice. They endure endless hardships to ensure our well-being, education, and moral upbringing. Therefore, every child has profound duties toward their parents.
Our Primary Duties: First and foremost, we must show unconditional respect, obedience, and reverence to our parents. We should never speak to them in a harsh or disrespectful manner. Whatever they advise is aimed at our welfare; hence, following their guidance should be our moral duty. We should also assist them in household chores and share their burdens with a cheerful heart.
Care in Old Age: The greatest test of filial duty comes when parents grow old and frail. In their advanced age, they need tender care, emotional support, and medical attention. Just as they nursed us during our helpless childhood, we must attend to their daily needs with utmost patience. Leaving elderly parents alone or ignoring their emotional needs is an unforgivable sin and moral failure.
Spiritual & Religious Value: All world religions, especially Islam, place highest importance on honoring parents.
